NILD Educational Therapy at Yellowwoods
The NILD (National Institute of Learning Development) Educational Therapy was designed to treat assumed, underlying causes of learning difficulties, rather than simply treating the symptoms.
It is a true therapy – in that it aims for intervention just above the student’s level of functioning and raises expectations for performance. Students are given individual training to view themselves as competent and confident learners and clear, efficient thinking is developed.
Yellowwoods is able to offer this unique service to our children through the passionate and dedicated teaching of a qualified member of Staff.
An Occupational Therapist, Mrs. Kate Morgan is based at the Adelaide Hospital and is qualified to assess, train and assist pupils.
2 academic facilitators and selected members of Staff are available, daily, for students requiring remedial or didactic aid.
