27 March 2011
My Dear Parents/ Guardians,
We have missed some lessons due to school practices for Grandparents’ Day. You may thus notice that some of the lessons are repeated in these next two weeks lesson plans.
Stars of the week have really taken off at Yellowwoods. Each child has been given the opportunity, in each class at the school, to be recognized for something special. Stars of the week for this term: Asive: Kindness, Ross: Tennis and swimming, Emihle: Great class work, Liyema: Help and handwriting, Jenna: Spelling, Jemma: Swimming and remembering, Khazimla: Excellent reading, Anele: Academic improvement, Songez: Academic improvement, Jordan: Math and Essay writing, Liam: Perseverance
This April is our Easter and as is every year, also Earth Day month. A blessed Easter is wished for you and your family from me. Parents all over the world will surely be celebrating this Earth Day month with their children, helping them realize their responsibility in preserving and looking after our planet, as they are, indeed, our new future generation
This weekend I sent home your child’s workbooks, so that you may see the books and understand some of the report comments when you receive your child’s report.
We are now approaching the end of the term and this week I do a lot of final assessments and the reports. I have enjoyed this first term with your child. It has been a great pleasure to work with my class and getting to understand each one’s little character. I look forward to next term with all its promise and excitement. I wish you all a wonderfully happy and precious time with your child during these holidays.
.
Thank you again for your support, in our quest together, in helping your child develop into and becoming the best he/she can be.
Kind regards,
Kathleen Brand.
